Eating My Heart Out

Eating My Heart Out

I composed this piece of music on my old Yamaha keyboard. I created an animation to go with it which was shown at Xposed Club's 'Night of Small Miracles' in August 2017.

The animation was created using old postcards, photographs, drawings, collages, Anime Studio 9 Debut software and Windows Movie Maker.

Misty Morning - Cheltenham

I headed out early on a misty Sunday morning to see what I could find...

Pigeons roosting on top of the old pagoda style tower that once formed part of the Cheltenham Original Brewing Co.

...plus Belisha Beacon

From the other side and closer up
Not much is left of the old brewery buildings. The tower now overlooks a modern 'leisure complex'.

Here is a picture I took on my phone the other night with the tower behind. They are now busy tearing some 60s architecture down and putting something bland there so we can all shop and eat some more.
Making way
I head to Pittville Park...

Newly restored Pittville Park gates
The gates were originally built in 1833 to form a grand entrance to the Pittville estate. The restoration of has just been completed. There is info here http://www.friendsofpittville.org/pittvillegates.aspx

In the park it's still misty...

The bridge

Little gulls

Reflections

...and more

And here are a couple of photos from yesterday in Cheltenham.

Something's missing...
Oh yeah, this...

Odeon Cinema - (originally The Gaumont)
Here's a link with a bit of history and a nicer photo of it. http://cinematreasures.org/theaters/17447

An Art Deco cinema - left to decay and recently demolished. In its place will be some Regency-esque style flats. It says on the boards around the site 'Regency redefined'.!? Before the cinema was here there was a Victorian church and before that, in the 1830s it was a stables. So there has never been any typically Regency architecture on this site. Why start now?

Well things change...

Saw a nice sunset. Had to chase it as it was going down so quickly.
